Nevada Test Site FAA COA Approval

Nevada Test Site FAA COA Approval

October 27, 2016

As of the September FAA Technical Interchange Conference, the Nevada UAS Test Site can now give first responders the ability to conduct their missions under the Nevada UAS Test Site authorization. The Nevada UAS Test Site received approval on a new nationwide blanket Certificate of Authorization (COA) to operate up to the limits of Class G airspace (1,200 ft. AGL) with the ability to go even higher based on infrastructure obstacles.  This COA significantly relaxes the NOTAM notification requirement now giving Nevada the ability to conduct first responder operations under the parameters of this COA in Class G designated airspace.
